Oak House is a 16th
century half-timbered Tudor House set in the corner of a walled
"Old English" garden fragrant with the scent of herbaceous
plants and formal borders.

Hall Green Road, West
Bromwich
The Manor House, also known as the "Old
Hall" is a priceless example of a medieval timber framed hall.
Few examples of this early type of architecture have survived
and this is possibly the most complete example in existance. It
conforms to a copy book layout and consists of a Great hall,
North Solar Wing, South Wing, Chapel, Kitchen Block and
Gatehouse and is surrounded on all sides by a moat. |
Newton Road, West

Although more humble than
either the Manor House or the Oak House, Bishop Asbury's Cottage
is still worth a visit. The Cottage contains furniture of
the period of Asbury's boyhood (around 1745) as well as
paintings and engravings of him. It is not open to the public in
the normal sense |
High Street, West Bromwich.
Is built in the Gothic style, in the centre
of the High Street. There is a conspicuous tower 130 feet
high, which can be seen for several miles away. The
building used to contain the necessary Municipal Offices for the
Borough. |

Sandwell Valley
Sandwell Valley is an area of green belt in the West Midlands of
England, on the border of Birmingham and West Bromwich, with
Walsall at its northern end.
It is a valley on the River Tame, West Midlands. 2,000 acres (8
km²) are owned by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, with
the RSPB leasing 25 acres as RSPB Sandwell Valley nature
reserve. The Valley contains Forge Mill Farm and Sandwell Park
Farm, both of which are operated by Sandwell Metropolitan
Borough Council as educational facilities - the former using
modern farming techniques, the latter with a walled garden and
rare breeds of farm animals. |

that play in the Football League Championship. It was formed in
1878 by workers from Salter's Spring Works in West Bromwich (in
Staffordshire, now part of the administrative county West
Midlands). It is also known as West Brom, the Baggies, the
Albion, or less commonly W.B.A. |
The Black Country
Living Museum
The Black Country Living Museum is located in Dudley in the West
Midlands in England. The museum occupies a 26 acre (105,000 m²)
urban heritage park in the shadow of Dudley Castle in the centre
of the Black Country conurbation. It was first opened in 1976
and since then more and more exhibits have been added to it. |
